55 Plus Ministry
The 55 Plus Ministry of First Baptist Church encourages individuals to come together to minister to one another. It is our desire to serve Jesus Christ by ministering to the spiritual, physical, and social needs of those in our fellowship. We encourage individuals to connect with other Christians through Adult Bible Fellowship groups, fellowships, leisure learning activities, mission trips, ministry experiences, and travel opportunities.
We also encourage our 55 Plus members to serve and minister in the life of the church. Some of the service areas include ushering, Bible Study teachers, committee members, Deacons, Prayer chain, grounds, and missions.

Flower Ministry
Each week, a small group of ladies cut and arrange the flowers from the sanctuary to provide flowers for the Homebound and Nursing Home members. We have a large group of volunteers who deliver these flowers each Monday morning.
Prayer Ministry
The 55 Plus ministry provides an opportunity for older adults to be involved in the prayer ministry through a prayer chain. We have over 50 people involved in the prayer chain at this time.
Homebound/Nursing Home Ministry
Volunteers visit our Homebound and Nursing Home members each week and deliver flowers from the Flower Ministry. The visits provide an opportunity for the church to meet their spiritual and emotional needs.
