KidsMin

Welcome

We’re so glad you’re checking out KidsMin today! Every child matters to us because every child matters to God! Scripture tells us to teach our children as we “do what we do” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7), and we want to fully support you in that endeavor. We want your child to learn “the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 3:14-15). Because of this, we use various hands-on, classroom, and large group activities to help children understand Scripture and encounter the living Savior on their own.

We could not meet without our incredible team of volunteers! All of our volunteers show a love for God and a love for children. Each volunteer has an active background check on file, and most of our volunteers have additional Ministry Safe online training. Children’s activities meet on the Daviess Street side of the third floor. To enter from 3rd street, take the South Elevator to the 3rd floor and turn left. To enter from the back parking lot, take the North Elevator to the 3rd floor and turn right.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday school classes meet by grade level in the KidsMin Area beginning at 9:15 a.m. each Sunday. We study Lifeway’s The Gospel Project curriculum, which guides children through a chronological study of the Bible over a 3-year period. By the time a child graduates 5th grade, he or she will have completed a study of the entire Bible nearly 3 times.

Following Sunday school, our children worship in the Sanctuary with their parents. During the morning worship service, kids in K-5th Grade are dismissed to Kids Church in KidsMin HQ (on the 3rd floor). Kids Church is a large-group continuation of The Gospel Project from Sunday school. Kids Church meets every Sunday except when the Lord’s Supper is observed in Worship.

Sunday Nights

SNAC meets 12 weeks a year (6 in the spring and 6 in the fall) and is open to all kids.  1-part music, 1-part Rec, 1-part Bible, and all parts fun, SNAC gives the kids a chance to deepen their friendships. The SNAC Bible segment is focused on life application. For 2023, SNAC meets every Sunday, February 19 through March 26, and October 15 through November 19.

Wednesday Nights

You don’t want to miss our Midweek programming! We work through topical teaching in a large group/small group format. Midweek is high energy, but we also lead focused grade-based discussions. The curriculum is cyclical, but we are currently teaching Lifeway’s Explore the Bible. Midweek meets on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:00-7:00 p.m. When Midweek is in session, we have a churchwide fellowship meal in the Fellowship Hall beginning at 5:00.
